We didn’t set out to invent anything - we just wanted feeding hay to be quicker, easier, and less wasteful.

Bale Buddy started with us: two horse people juggling work, training, and daily horse care. Feeding hay was one of those constant jobs that took more effort than it should - lifting heavy bales, wrestling nets, or, on rushed days, throwing hay over the fence and watching it go to waste.

So we started experimenting.

What began as a simple timber frame quickly moved to steel, tested daily in paddocks and stables. From the start, the focus was clear: save time, reduce waste, and make horse care easier - with horse safety at the forefront.

When the concept proved itself, we knew it needed to be built properly, so other horse people could benefit too. We partnered with a steel manufacturing specialist with over 30 years’ experience to refine the design and engineer it for real-world use.
